Reduction of the risk of the release of pollutants into the waters by the pig sector by establishing a specific environmental certification path
The goal of the GO is to ensure the reduction of the risk of the release of pollutants into the waters by
the pig sector by establishing a specific environmental certification path for the sector, who will join a
group of companies led by the Interprofessional Organization, which will act as owner of the
innovative "group certification."
The participating companies will be enabled to achieve an innovative ISO 14001 group certification.
The group guidelines and the environmental management manual specific to the production sector will be produced, which will allow the identification and implementation of continuous improvement
interventions for the environmental performance of the companies involved. These interventions will
be able to guarantee that the livestock manure, animal health and plant protection products used in the GO companies are managed in ways that have a minimal impact on water quality
