ProHop Smart Chain - Italian professional chain of the hop cultivation
The general objective of the Plan is to increase the profitability and the competitiveness of farms
through the creation and the development of an innovative and sustainable supply chain: the hopgrowing.
Specific objectives:
1. To improve the quality of the hop cultures.
2. To select new Italian hop varieties.
3. To improve the sustainability of farming and the processing techniques.
4. To connect the several players of the hop supply chain.
5. To implement innovation and traceability (notarize) of the processes of production, harvesting and
post-harvesting.
6. To promote the profitability and the valorization of the hop farms.
1 Promotion of the cooperation
2.1 - Setting up of a hop growing model and optimization of a prototype of the Italian hopgarden
2.2 - Evaluation of the ER terroir effect
2.3 - Identification of hop maturation indexes
2.4 - Optimization of a fertilization plan for Italian hops growing
2.5 - Identification of the regional biodiversity and valorisation of the talian hop genotypes
2.6 - Identification of the best conservation conditions for hops
2.7 – Creation of a hop dryer-machine prototipe
2.8 – Designing and development of the organizational prototyping for the hop supply chain
2.9 – Setting up of an “blockchain ecosystem”
