Approaches to genetic improvement integrated with the fruit supply chains for the development of eco-sustainable varieties of apple and strawberry
Primary objective: development of innovative apple and strawberry genotypes, that are healthy and
highly sustainable from both an environmental and an economic point of view.
The specific objectives are:
- varietal innovation;
- environmental protection;
- water saving;
- assessment of market satisfaction and economic sustainability of the agricultural productions;
- improvement of farms integration into the agri-food chain, through their involvment in all the phases
of study, evaluation and development of the new genotypes covered by the project.
