Sustainable System for Best Tomato and Maize Production
A Decision Support System (DSS) integrated with forecasting models for Defense, Irrigation,
Fertigation, Crop Development able to provide knowledge tools to all levels of intervention to act in a
targeted manner on the territory in the prevention and solution of the main production problems. A
new paradigm capable of considering the quantitative and qualitative potential of the productions and
therefore the economic sustainability and the consequent real applicability on the part of farmers. A
non-impositive, but collaborative and participatory approach made explicit through the interoperable
systems between prediction models, and through the effective and easily usable tools.
Predictive Models: Defense for tomato and corn with the additional supply parameter due by the
control of the "coverage" of interventions; Irrigation and Fertirrigation based on Irrinet-Irriframe
system from ANBI-CER; estimation of phenology and production. Integration to develop the
interaction and collaboration between the forecasting components.
Evaluation of Varietal and Seeding / Transplantation period choices for the mitigation of the effects of
climate change.
DSS Platform to manage and control, identifying correlations between environment, crops, practices,
quality data to fine-tune strategies to minimize inputs, maximize production results and improve
sustainability.
