Apulian Vitiviniculture of the Internet of Things
a) explain benefits of the PF in vitiviniculture as lower environmental impacts and improvements in
the farmers’ income in terms of increases in overall quality and decline in cultivation costs;
b) define potentialities and methods of employment the PF in pedoclimates and winegrape cultivars
characterizing the Apulian viticulture;
c) realize dissemination tools and demonstrative activities that develop awareness in the Apulian wine world on the means and potentialities of the PA in the sector and lay the foundations for its faster and more widespread diffusion on the regional territory.
- introduction in some wineries of the AP systems (Weather Sensors and Drones) and its application in various Apulian pedoclimatic environments and on grape varieties of interest in Apulian winemaking;
- creation of demonstration vineyards for comparison between management supported and not by DSS;
- data collection in the vineyards characterizing the areas and varieties evaluated;
- data processing and interpretation and drafting of technical material for the dissemination of the
differential results of the introduction of the AP;
- dissemination of results (seminars, photos, videos, blogs and social channels, publications)
