Production and enhancement of plant bioproducts for a total and characterising use of new nutritional formulations rich in functional components
The project aims to promote the cultivation of Jerusalem artichoke, seed hemp and fig in ecosustainable and biological systems and to validate cultivation practices to enhance the productivity in terms of quality of the functional components to be allocated to the market of new formulations food.
The definition of the products destination will pave the way towards cultural choices aimed at the
production of renewable resources and their transformation into value-added products (food, feed,
bioproducts), projecting regional agriculture towards bio-economy objectives, in line with the Europe
2020 strategy.
O1. Creation of catalog fields to compare hemp and Jerusalem artichoke varieties.
O2. Setting up of test fields in biological and conventional regime.
O3. Modernization of the production technique in the field of fig in the drying technique (ultrasound)
O4. Biochemical characterization of the products:
O5. Measurement of the environmental impacts deriving from the techniques introduced
O6. Quantification of the potential change in profitability for companies
