Ambient and forest planning of the Lake of Occhito
Promoting innovation in the agro-forestry sector, collecting scientific partners, technicians, politics and productive stake holders, through pilot applications to plan and manage the forests, with the aim of improving the protective and environmental capacities of the forest coverage surrounding the Occhito lake, together with an ecologic enhancement positively linked with its economic side.
The project activities include:
• Realization of the drone flight over the areas subject to planning and use of the Lidar methodology;
• Implementation of specific forestry surveys preliminary to the drafting of the forest management plan
of state-owned properties near the Occhito lake dam;
• Preparation of a forest management plan for state-owned properties near the dam of Lake Occhito;
• Implementation of associated sustainable forest management through public-private cooperation;
• Implementation of pilot silvicultural interventions.
