The results achieved will allow the introduction on the market of propagation material of high agronomic value, related to local ecotypes, selected for this purpose, tested for the implementation of an innovative and sectorial integrated garlic supply chain. The definition of innovative products to be destined for the gastronomic and/or nutraceutical sector will contribute to enhance the value of those accessions with high health properties.
The increase in profitability margins, capable of reducing the gap with competitors, will come from lower expenses for the purchase of external factors (bulbs-seeds) and the inclusion in a structured supply chain and improved market positioning.
The results can be verified using as project indicators the analysis of the profitability of the crops, the analysis of the added value of the productions, the reduction of costs.
