Introduction of innovation, deriving from research and experiments already implemented or in progress, in the production processes of agrozootechnical farms
Obiettivi
Objectives
The Project has the general purpose of providing process and product innovations, immediately applicable, to the extensive breeding of the "Podolica" breed beef and the dairy sector of Calabria for the diversification of the production and offer of the meat and dairy products. It also pursues the aim of safeguarding, in the case of goats, animal biodiversity through actions to enhance the Rustica Calabrese (“Sciara”) goat. In addition, from a supply chain perspective, the reintroduction of flax cultivation in the Calabrian territory is proposed to be used as a food supplement and to limit the growth of weeds.
Activities
- Implementation of a micro economy system to enhance the nutraceutical and organoleptic qualities of the meat obtained;
- Preservation of Podolica's biodiversity through the valorization of the meat;
- Conservation of “Podolica” biodiversity through meat enhancement;
- Diversification of production on dairy/meat farms;
- Safeguarding the indigenous goat “Rustica di Calabria” through the enhancement of productions;
- Demonstrate the herbicidal capabilities of flax;
- Create a potential market for both flax seeds and stems;
- Implementing an innovative cultivation method aimed at protecting
