Montessori thought as innovation in social agriculture in the Marche region
To promote, within the multifunctionality of the farm, innovative activities of Social agriculture, applying the Montessori method, usually aimed at children, to of the third age users with different psycho-physical abilities.
This approach recognizes in each of them peculiar abilities at any age and through experiential workshops, support to the adoption of healthy lifestyles, attention to food education, educational continuity for the age group 1-6, activation of outdoor educational experiences, intergenerationality and interactivity through the inclusion of participants with reduced skills, we will try with this project to create a new way to social agriculture in Marche region.
The project will have important impacts on farms (multifunctionality) and will create new opportunities for community services (elderly, children 1-6 years and disabled) and local communities. The project aims to develop products and solutions for the economic sustainability of social agriculture initiatives. The project plans a wide activity of animation and dissemination during the three years of implementation of the activities, in order to interconnect public and private subjects through communication and dissemination interventions. Open days will also be organized with representatives of bodies and institutions engaged in community services.
The multifunctional approach, of which social agriculture is an integral part, will lead to an increase in business productivity through a higher number of products/services offered and an improvement in marketing capacity through better visibility and the possibility of creating an ethical label. The opening of the farm to users from neighbouring communities leads to a greater sensitivity of these to the promotion and protection of agri-environmental aspects.
A further qualitative parameter of the project concerns the social effects that will develop in terms of social inclusion for the involved users as well as the level of interaction with the family framework.
The project will offer different types of care to vulnerable people with a high social exclusion, as well as expand a qualified educational offer (Montessori method) aimed at pre-school children and therefore to the public of families in communities interested in this innovative approach.
Innovation of the Model of the Laboratory of longevity active in rural areas, approved by the Marche Region with DRG 336/2016, applying the Montessori method to the three different types of services (mind laboratories, cohousing and sensory garden), not yet fully developed in the Region.
For the agri-childhood research of educational continuity 1-6 years in reference to the Montessori approach. Application of the Montessori method through the predisposition of a common pedagogical methodology, of a unique professional language realized through the training of teachers and educators and the definition of educational services in continuity. Continuity 1-6 years does not find concrete cases in our regional reality and will therefore be developed and monitored for the first time thanks to this project.
Application of an experiential approach on users with cognitive disabilities.
