Reduction of the competitiveness gap between the model of olive cultivation in Puglia and those of
competing countries; Improvement and efficiency of the decision-making model on major cropping
operations that impact on the environment and company balance: defense and irrigation management;
Definition of operational protocols with precision detection methods, with the use of Innovation
Technologies, to improve and increase the definition of preventive monitoring activities; Improved
timing of communication of sensitive data to recipients and end users
The project aims to establish a system for comparing the economic sustainability of the characteristic
production systems of farms specialized in olive growing in Puglia. The planned activities will be
carried out according to the following tasks:
1. Scouting of olive growing models and identification of pilot fields;
2. Definition of innovative monitoring models;
3. Design of the innovative platform;
4. Development of the innovative platform;
5. Validation and testing of the platform;
