Phytodepuration and reuse for nutrients and pesticides reduction in the surface waters of the reclamation network
Improve surface water quality with phytodepuration techniques in relation to the widespread
pollutants of agricultural activity (nutrients and pesticides) at the farm and irrigation district level.
Possibility of waste water reuse deriving from the processing of the agri-food chains, in a "circular
economy" process - evaluating the toxicity linked to the accumulation of salts, the presence of residues in the marketed agricultural products, the opportunity to use nitrate-laden waters to reduce nutritional intake with synthetic fertilizers.
The capacity of a phytodepuration system at farm scale fed with drainage water coming from the
farm’s fields will be evaluated, to purify nutrients and pesticides by setting up a modeling study on a
real scale.
Study of a model for assessing the effectiveness of biological and integrated productions on the
improvement surface waters quality of a drain-irrigation channel.
Verification of the irrigation reuse of wastewater of agro-industrial origin to evaluate possible
phytotoxicity, organic nitrogen supply, water saving of traditional sources.
Biological fight for the control of Halyomorpha Halis with native antagonists and exotic species.
