PEI-AGRI

Connectivity of precision farming systems

Obiettivi
Objectives

The aim of the project is to indicate compatibility solutions in transferring and using data in precision agriculture systems: the entrepreneur acquires data from the sensors (control units, combine harvesters, sensors on tractors, etc.) which can often be viewed only on the manufacturer's software; needs to compare them on PC with other systems; needs to modify them and create files capable of being read by the machines in the field to carry out precision operations; the project indicates solutions for the safe operation of digital technologies for cultivation processes.

Activities
  • classification and characterization of digital data used on farms
  • Digital Innovation Hubs connected to the local organization and connection data
  • Security Farm data
  • Security monitoring systems and automation control systems (GPS, ITALPOS type networks)
  • verification of interaction Data sources (speak the same language) on the companies of the territorial platform
  • Interaction checks between Data "prescription maps" and VRT agricultural machines (Variable Rate Treatment)
  • identification of professional figures emerging from needs
  • visits of agricultural entrepreneurs to other European experiences (IoF2020, 4D4F_eu)

Professional training and skills acquisition

Context

The digitalization of the technical systems that modern society uses represents the current challenge for all social and productive activities. The agricultural enterprise is much more than all the other productive sectors timidly adopting this potential dominated by a fragmented and non-interconnected market of digital products and services in which a technology is used (for example micrometeorological control units) but it is not possible to put in communication of digital information with other management systems present in the company or on the web. The problem becomes even more serious when digital prescription data must be used on devices or systems, especially in the field of agricultural machines operating in an external environment.

Pratice abstract
Description

Digitalization of the technical systems, the current challenge for all social and productive activities. The term Industry 4.0 is now widespread in the complete digitalization of the manufacturing sector, but all our private or public social activity makes use of digital controls from the use of cars to communication tools. It is therefore necessary to identify the interactivity needs of digital systems by putting the farmers in a position to know in detail problems of interconnectivity and to choose and know how to direct the technology offer in the direction of the ever greater compatibility of the multiple technological components of the crop production system.
